Soda Tax

New report suggests
nationwide soda tax

The New England Journal of Medicine has again raised the
idea of taxing sugary beverages to reduce obesity and bring
public health benefits.

The paper is a collaborative endeavor from a number of key
proponents of soda taxes, including Dr Kelly Brownell,
who has previously compared the food and tobacco industries,
and Dr Barry Popkin, author of The World is Fat, which
discusses the link between obesity and increased
consumption of sugary drinks.

This new paper states that current soft drink taxes –
in place in 33 states – are too small to affect obesity rates.
The authors recommend a one cent tax per ounce,
which they say would lead to a 15 to 20 percent increase in
soft drink prices and, if implemented across the US,
“would raise $14.9bn in the first year alone.”
It is predicted that consumption of calories from soft drinks
would decrease by at least ten percent, which is significant for weight loss.
“The benefit would be larger among consumers who consume
higher volumes, since these consumers are more likely to be overweight.
Opposition from the beverage industry is to be expected.
The authors also suggested the poor have the most to gain from the
tax if revenue is ploughed back into obesity programs, and that
there is a low- or no-cost alternative – tap water.

They wrote: “Reducing caloric intake by 1 to 2 percent per year
would have a marked impact on health in all age groups.

New Facilities

Word of mouth really Works

There is a new Yoli distributor coming on board every 8 minutes.
Amazing considering the pre launch has not begun.
There were so many sample orders that it used up the stock
they were planning for the pre-launch and so they had to bring
online another production source and will be bringing on a
third one within the quarter.
Both of these will have a 1 million cap per week capacity.

Enthusiasm like this is confirming that
your interest is well deserved.

First Million

Past First Million in Sales

Yoli has stacked up more than $1 Million in VIP
pre-launch orders. Most of this momentum has been
built without the product even being available to taste.
Imagine what is going to happen once everyone has their
orders and is sharing Yoli Truth and the Yoli mission
with the many people that have yet to hear about this
game changing company and technology.

We are in the final stretch of the Yoli VIP pre-launch
and each day things get more and more exciting.

Don't miss out...

Well known, world class networkers have voted with their feet.

Demonstrate the Power

Demonstratable and Affordable

Have you heard of the embarrassment factor? Yes, the embarrassing
question of price. So often when telling friends and prospects about
an amazing product, it is a little embarrassing to have to tell them
that it will set them back by $40 a bottle. Often a bottle will last
just a week. Yoli has the price to satisfy everyone.
Yoli also has the wow factor when you put the blast cap in your bottle,
blast and shake then watch the nutrition combine with the water.

Only the Best

Real Nutrition

Yoli means ‘to live’ in Aztec. Yoli is destined to change the

face of network marketing.

They came up with a new way of ingesting nutrition. Blast caps.

Blast caps are caps that contain freeze dried vitamins, minerals

and live enzymes. All you do, is put the cap on a bottle of water,

blast, shake it, and you have your nutritional product in your hands.

Having the product this way avoids the use of pasteurisation and the

addition of preservatives, artificial colors, artificial sweeteners and fillers.

The fact is that 99% of bottled juices, and energy drinks have been

pasteurised and we know what happens when juices are pasteurised.

Lori Lipinski, a certified nutritional consultant, says that it

kills friendly bacteria, destroys beneficial enzymes,

hormones and antibodies, completely destroys vitamin B

and substantially reduces the amount of vitamin A, C,D and E.

Energy Drink Ban

State Government to Ban Caffeine Energy Drinks

It's unacceptable that energy drinks with dangerously high levels of

caffeine are allowed to be sold to children, the NSW government says.

Industries Minister Ian Macdonald says he will lobby to have them banned,

as some are being sold to minors due to a loophole in Australian law.

Five Year 7 students from Quakers Hill, in Sydney's west, reportedly suffered side effects including dizziness and nausea after consuming energy drinks on their way to school on Wednesday.

Mr Macdonald says it's examples such as this that have prompted the state government to look at how it can get the drinks off the shelves.

"It's simply unacceptable that these products, clearly marketed at youths, have appeared in the market," he said in a statement on Thursday.

"So the government has taken immediate action to get these illegal products off the shelves.

"The Food Authority is working to get the so-called energy drinks 'Fuel Cell' and 'Cintron' off shop shelves as they both exceed the caffeine level legally permitted in the Food Standards Code."

However, Mr Macdonald said some drinks could not be banned in NSW because they were registered as dietary supplements with the federal Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

"It appears that some drink manufacturers have exploited a regulatory loophole by being registered with the TGA as a therapeutic good, despite containing caffeine levels in excess of those permitted under the Food Standards Code."

What is Alka Plex

Why do we need Alka Plex

Alka-Plex® are a proprietary mineral complex that is a very strong,
yet very safe, alkalizing agent. The granules have three properties:

1. Reduces the acidity of foods and beverages without damaging flavor;
2. Increases absorbency of key nutrients; and
3. Achieves a systemic alkaline balance in the body to improve healthy aging and athletic performance

Alka-Plex is designated as a New Dietary Ingredient by the FDA
– a recognition of uniformity and safety.
Due to the unique structure of Alka-Plex, this hydrophilic granule
opens mucosal membranes and improves the absorption of key nutrients.
Alka-Plex also appears to have a gut cleansing and improves upper
digestive tract functioning.

Alka-Plex granules help balance and manage the complex and
critical acid/alkaline relationship in the human body. Alka-Plex is a
solution for low-grade, chronic acidosis – often described as
“acidic stress.” Over 400 peer-review articles link low-grade acidosis with
aging and dozens of problems associated with the aging process.
